Steps in T.A.C.T.’s Mold Remediation Process:

1. Identify the extent of the mold problem through inspection and testing using professional equipment and an independent, 3rd Party Lab that will accurately identify the species of mold and types of mycotoxins and their concentration levels utilizing an Environmental Mold and Mycotoxin Assessment (EMMA). This helps us understand more clearly the extent of the problem and how best to develop the proper remediation protocol. Inspection areas usually include any identified or known trouble areas that cause moisture damage such as any plumbing leaks, water intrusion in the crawlspace, attic, or windows, HVAC issues, etc. We specifically inspect and assess the HVAC system within the extend of applicable state law and regulations, employing certified technicians as necessary. 
2. Where appropriate, we may prepare a Mold Assessment Report (MAR) which will include a history of the property including any previous reports, all lab reports and documents obtained for the assessment analysis, an interpretation of the results and findings of the mold assessment including, but not limited to, sources and conditions which may have or currently exist and contribute to the problems in the environment, short term solutions to reduce elevated samples, and long term Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) management procedures to reduce the possibility of mold proliferation in the future.
3. Where necessary and contracted by the client, our assessors will prepare a Mold Remediation Protocol (MRP) that is specific to each remediation project and provide the MRP to the client before the remediation project begins.
4. Depending upon the severity of the Remediation Project, we will isolate and contain the affected areas to prevent the spread of mold spores and mycotoxins to other parts of your home utilizing the most strict industry standards for containment protocols.
5. Remove and dispose of mold-infested materials, such as drywall, insulation, and carpeting, according to EPA guidelines.
6. HEPA Vacuum, clean and disinfect surfaces to eliminate mold and mycotoxins using environmentally and pet-safe chemicals.
7. Use air purification techniques and equipment to eliminate spores in the air.
8. Conducting post-remediation verification testing to ensure that the mold issue has been effectively addressed.
9. After successfully achieving the PRV, a written Final Remediation Report (FRR) will be provided to the building owner and/or responsible party from the remediator which will include, but is not limited to, the following:
   1. Certificate of Completion clearly stating the remediation has been successfully completed (NORMI™ recommends the Certificate of Sanitization™),
   2. Documentation of the pre-PRV evaluation(s) performed by the independent certified remediator of record,
   3. PRV results presented to the building owner and/or responsible party with FRR.
10. Discuss implementing a Mold Management Plan (MMP) with you to control moisture, such as fixing leaks, improving ventilation, and using dehumidifiers, installing French Drains to prevent crawlspace flooding, and for the purpose of ongoing IAQ management.
